The Walker Foundation announces it's 2004 fundraising drive.
February 5, 2004--The Walker Foundation is asking for your help in it's 2004 capital campaign to help educate our children. The Walker Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization in Farmville, Virginia dedicated to helping disadvantaged students in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC, obtain computers and Internet service in their home to better compete in school. Technology and computers have become an indispensable part of the education of our children, but not everyone has eccess to these tools. Particularly left behind are many poor and rural communities, as well as many households headed by single parents.
The Walker Foundation provides a computer with monitor, software and color printer along with one (1) year of Internet service at no cost to qualifying students who otherwise would not have these items. Your tax-deuctible contribution of $100, $50, or whatever you can afford will assist us in helping our children get a better education and build stronger communities, stronger States and ultimately a stronger Nation. . . one child at a time.
Please make checks (no cash please) payable to The Walker Foundation, Inc and send them to Post Office Box 39, Farmville, Virginia 23901-0039.
