The Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area Announces Car Donation Program

Fairfax, VA February 27, 2004 -– The Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area can now accept used car donations through its partner cars4charities to help raise much needed funds. Through their numerous programs and services, the Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area provides help and hope to the over 460,000 individuals in Northern Virginia, Suburban Maryland and Washington, DC who are facing the daily challenges of Alzheimer's.

By donating used cars, trucks, vans or SUVs, donors become eligible for a federal tax deduction. cars4charities sells the donated vehicles and sends the entire net proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association to help fund their programs.

The Vehicle Donation Program has been a great success in other parts of the country. "We are very excited to be part of this effort and hope to see a similar level of enthusiasm throughout our community," says Anthony K. To participate, donors simply call cars4charities at 1-866-448-3487 or log onto their website www.cars4charities.org , and they will have the vehicles towed away, free of charge. Donors will receive all the necessary paperwork to claim their tax deduction for the fair market value of the vehicle.
