The Florida Association of the Deaf Announces Car Donation Program
Spring Hill, FL March 7, 2004--The Florida Association of the Deaf can now accept used car donations through its partner cars4charities to help raise much needed funds. The Florida Association of the Deaf represents more than 1.8 million Floridians with hearing loss. It is an organization that promotes Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened Floridians to interact with each other as well as with the hearing community, legislature and agencies/organizations serving Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened citizens.
By donating used cars, trucks, vans or SUVs, donors become eligible for a federal tax deduction. cars4charities sells the donated vehicles and sends the entire net proceeds to the Florida Association of the Deaf to help fund their programs.
The Vehicle Donation Program has been a great success in other parts of the country. "We are very excited to be part of this effort and hope to see a similar level of enthusiasm throughout our community," says Christopher D. Wagner, President of the Florida Association of the Deaf. "cars4charities experience with the vehicle donation program is a great advantage. Their procedures make donating very easy."
To participate, donors simply call cars4charities at 1-866-448-3487 or log onto their website www.cars4charities.org , and they will have the vehicles towed away, free of charge. Donors will receive all the necessary paperwork to claim their tax deduction for the fair market value of the vehicle.
Most classics and 1993 and newer cars, trucks, vans and SUVs are accepted. Some restrictions apply. For more information, visit www.cars4charities.org or call 1-866-448-3487 (GIVE-4-US)
