New Service Takes a Memorial Donation to Charity Via Charge Card and "Overnights" a card to be displayed at Funeral Home.

Who says "there's nothing new under the sun" ?
And
When is a "Memorial Gift" "Memorable" ?

When the purpose of a Memorial Gift is to honor the memory of a deceased, how does it honor that memory if no one knows the gift was made ? We can't say that we have wasted our money, because people are (presumably) helped by our gift, but was the deceased "Honored", "Memorialized" ? At the present time, we would have to say "No".

An organization has set in motion a service to change all that forever.

1-800-Pledges, Inc (www.1-800-pledges.com) now has a service available that not only honors the deceased in a timely fashion, but offers a convenient portal into the world of charitable giving. Any nationally recognized charge card does it all. "Pledges" will accept a donation to the charity, church or individual of your choice (there is a database of recognized charities within the website or you can enter your own) and "overnight" to the appropriate Funeral Home or Church a freestanding card folder containing a laser printed card stating "A Memorial Donation Is Being Forwarded To", "In Memory Of" and "By" with the appropriate information filled in. Up to three names can be included as "Donor".

The total cost of the service including the card, card folder and overnight delivery is $14.95. The amount of your donation is, of course, up to you.
