Olympic Telephone and Vodavi Reach Out to Sure House With Telephony Equipment Donation

Phoenix, AZ July 23, 2004 -- Vodavi Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:VTEK), a provider of traditional and next generation business telecommunications solutions, and Olympic Telephone today announced that Sure House is the first recipient of donated telephone equipment under Vodavi's newly established charitable grant program. Sure House, an inner-city bible church in the Upper Tacoma District of Tacoma, Washington and customer of Olympic Telephone, a Vodavi Authorized Dealer, recently received a new telephone system with digital voice mail and 30-button telephone sets. Vodavi established this community outreach program as a way to help 501c3 charitable organizations have access to the latest communication technologies. Vodavi dealers located throughout the U.S. who achieve Vodavi's elite President's Club status during a given year are eligible to nominate a local area charity to receive this one-time equipment donation. Olympic Telephone donated the costs for installation and training.

"Our church is a critical outreach to the Tacoma's inner-city community," said Sure House Open Bible Church Pastor Gary Wyatt. "Through teaching life skills, music, arts and athletics, we help the youth in our area to have a dream for the future. The phone system we received has allowed us to cut our operational costs as well as improve our communications so we can spend more time focusing on our mission of helping the children of Tacoma."

Prior to the new phone system installation, Sure House was operating with an antiquated system and one voice mail extension through a service provider. The new Vodavi phone system provides 3 lines and 6 – 30 button phones located throughout the building. Key benefits of the new system include the new updated look and design of phones, the elimination of monthly recurring costs for voice mail, the expanded voice mail capability and the ability for everyone in the office to have access to the third line on the phone system (previously dedicated as a fax line). The expanded voice mail capabilities allow Sure House to manage their calls more efficiently by directing calls to particular voice mail message boxes within the system for services such as food bank, clothing, outreach ministry, confidential messages for Pastor, and more.

"Often nonprofit organizations are not able to allot budget dollars for capital equipment purchases," states Jack Roffler, Vice President of Olympic Telephone. "We are proud to be able to offer this assistance to Sure House, and we especially thank Vodavi who started this charitable program so worthwhile organizations can now have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art equipment while continuing their valuable community service work."
