E-commerce application to include monthly donation options

DonationForm.com released their upgraded online donation system that now includes monthly donation options and the ability to download names and addresses of donors for offline and online mailing programs.

Organizations can give donors the choice of a one-time donation, a monthly donation or both. Donors can also select to donate the amount specified for one, two, three, four, six, nine or twelve months. The monthly donation amounts are authorized and processed in real-time by the online gateway and the donors' credit cards are billed automatically every month for the number of months they select.

Unlike shopping cart applications, DonationForm.com's application is designed specifically for non-profits. Donors are never asked to "add items" to a cart, "check out" or perform other product-based e-commerce functions that do not make sense in a donation scenario.

"A lot of thought went into what non-profits need in terms of their online donation operations and how to optimize a donor's experience using the online donation form," said John Janney, CEO of DonationForm.com. "We wanted to give both the donor and the organization the flexibility needed to maximize online giving opportunities."

One example of this optimization is the multiple campaign account management feature. Most online donation forms only have one place to select or enter a donation amount and another place to select a campaign to designate. The DonationForm.com system enables a donor to give towards multiple campaigns simultaneously. Other features include the ability to customize the design of the donation form to match the look of each organization's web site, 128-bit SSL security and downloadable transaction history.
